I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
